Julia Redmond is the founding Director of Pippin Contemporary. As a child in Montgomery, AL she was always passionately painting Palominos, and studied art with Col. Whitehead in Montgomery. She attended Auburn University and studied business prior to moving to Houston in 1980. Her philosophy of life is that life itself is an art form and art is a form of life. Julia promotes multicultural and multidisciplinary events given the commonalities between people and artists across the world. Julia has observed first hand that art can improve the mood and health of a person. Before coming to Santa Fe she previously owned her own gallery in Houston, TX representing emerging and mid-career artists in Texas.
